ATC MP begins its work in March 2005 with the management of traffic signs of the Municipality of La Spezia and since 16th May 2005 has obtained the management of against- payment parking in the chief town.
Until now, with 19 Traffic Wardens, manages.
790 car parks in rotation with parking allowed only to cars free pass for residents and non valid monthly passes 7214 car parks without time limitation Since 2006 has started the realization of the first parking structure in Piazza Medaglie d'Oro Square in front of the railway station of La Spezia; It is an underground 3-floor parking structure for 243 car parks. In January 2007 has been approved the definitive project of the second underground parking structure located along viale Italia in the quarter of the gardens in front of the dock of ferries directed to islands. It is a two-floor parking structure for 365 car parks. The capital amount is 500,000 Euro and the company structure is the following: 69 % of shares is held by ATC S.p.A. company 31% by the Municipality of La Spezia. The company is controlled by the Municipality both through company shares held directly and indirectly, and through shareholder agreements which give to the Municipality of La Spezia the appointment of the majority of Managers, and the indication of the President and of the Managing Director. The participation of ATC S.p.A. is fundamental in order to allow the connection between the management of the against-payment parking and that of the local public transport, and thus, is essential to encourage an integrated approach to urban mobility.

New parking areas
projects
Project for a multilevel parking below Medaglie d'Oro Square in front of the FS railway station for 234 car parks, realized by the Municipality through ATC MP company. Work completion is due by 2010.
Project for a multilevel parking below the playing area adjacent to Allende Centre for 365 car parks. ATC MP is taking care of the competition procedure for finding a preliminary partner for the establishment of the company for the realization of the works.
